The role of electrical engineers is everywhere! Every sector of the economy utilizes the services of electrical engineers, from the production and distribution of electricity to environmental, manufacturing, semiconductor, optical, and telecommunications technology. The application of electrical engineering is observed everywhere from chip that implements a communication protocol or an intricate signal processing algorithm to various daily gadgets.
The Department of Electrical Engineering is one of the oldest departments of Mewar University and has been established as one of the major departments since its inception. The department of electrical engineering of Mewar University has been actively involved in both teaching and research. The Department of Electrical Engineering provides undergraduate (B.Tech.) and graduate (M.Tech.) degrees in Power Systems, Power Electronics & Drives and Renewable energy. The department of electrical engineering has dedicated and well trained faculty with expertise in various fields. The Department of Electrical engineering challenge conventional ideas about problem-solving and come up with innovative solutions. The Department has well equipped laboratories for carrying out various experiments.
The Department of Electrical Engineering is rich with its laboratory facilities, which offers the students a better place for their overall development in technical and practical field of Electrical Engineering. Electrical department is a practical learning hub for students with its various labs like Basic Electrical Lab, Power System Lab, Electrical Circuit Theory Lab, Electrical Machines Lab, Power Electronics and Drives Lab, Control System Lab, Electrical Workshop, Electrical Measurements and Measuring Instruments Lab, Project Lab and Power Electronics and Power System Simulation Labs.
Department also spotlight on overall knowledge expansion of their students in electrical engineering by conducting national level workshop, industrial visits, various training programs and providing various online technical videos. The department of EE has inaugurated the first departmental wise library ‘C V Raman Library’ in Mewar University. This makes the students of EE department unique and more competitive from other student communities
